The restaurant is "tucked away" on the first floor, which offers a good level of privacy compared to street views. Nicely decorated and delicious food. The service is friendly and helpful

just ordered something to eat, two vegetarian dishes. now have 2 chicken dishes at home. the sauce smells really delicious, but there is nothing to eat now .. a shame.

Unfortunately, the food didn't taste authentically Indian. Very European and all dishes somewhat similar with a lot of cream sauce and few ingredients. I'm a bit disappointed. The waiters were lovely and the ambiance is nice too!

The mushrooms were rock-hard, the lamb tasted like it was a few years too old to pass as a lamb and the chicken unfortunately had almost no taste. We will certainly not have anything more delivered to our home here - a shame ...

The chicken was still raw and we were sent out for lunch after an hour. Definitely not a recommendation. Unfortunately, raw chicken doesn't get fit at all.

Really tasty. I'm a bit very sensitive to sharpness, but dad is no problem here. I opted for the chicken mushroom Mir Reis and said while ordering that I would like it mild. Really delicious. The portion was perfect, I would order it again

I don't really understand the many 1-star ratings. The restaurant is in a pleasant ambience, which certainly aims to create the most "Indian" feeling of space possible. The many decorative statues and figures may seem a bit overloaded, but still give a part to the general well-being. As in many reviews, the food is extremely good value for money, with the portions being very generous and I didn't even want to order dessert anymore. However, when I was eating, my companion complained that their "curry" could use more curry spices. In my dish, too, the meat could have been shorter (but there can also be other reasons: possibly the length of time I was eating and the help of the warming candle). Still a more than tasty and filling meal. I would not recommend it to all of my contacts, as some of the dishes take getting used to, especially the intensity of the seasoning and heat, but I still come back to milder temperatures.

Price-performance ratio unbeatable! Very good Indian food, beautiful location, service adheres to Corona measures. Recommendable!

It was so incredibly delicious. much us. There were several 3 course menus to choose from for 2. The price was more than appropriate and the service was nice, quick and discreet.

Ordered food online several times. Always delicious and plentiful. The delivery time was almost always met, and despite difficult delivery conditions, people were always friendly.

All dishes taste almost the same and really not good. In addition, an ordered dish was not delivered, just something else instead. However, the driver was very nice and the portion size is okay.

A great place to get good regular priced indian food. It tastes very authentic and all the menus taste different and not the same, like it is the case with some indian restaurants.

Here, I would like to say since last 3 visits, it was a good experience for me. Service was good! So I would like to increase my rating from 1 star to 4 stars. To the Owner - " Food quality and taste is really good.

I really like house of india for ordering tons of rice with nice souces and the fluffy bread with the tripple of little dips. Great and big menu with a variety of meat. I can recommend the tandoori mix and the korma souce

Food is often good but not always, a couple of times they served badly cooked food. Staff is very friendly. Very good location.

Here it goes... My review is completely based on my experience at this Hotel. My views may differ with other's. Pros: 1. Nice location. One can easily walk from the city center. 2. The ambience is outstanding. One has to really admire this aspect. I must admit this was one of the best hotels I have seen in Europe with such an ambience. 3. Affordable price. Cons: 1. The taste is really really bad. I am a vegetarian and the cury was really bad. To be precise, my order of Paneer Tikka Masala should have been named as ''RAW PANEER NO TIKKA TOMATO PUREE''. It was completely raw. Paneer is supposed to be marrinated for atleast 6 to 8hrs in the tikka masala and either grilled or pan seared before putting it into the curry. But this paneer was completely raw and hard as a rock. Also, I was accompanied by a friend of mine who ordered Chicken Curry. What i observed was these guys had a common base for most of the curries and then they just add in the toppings and serve them raw. The Basumati Rice was filled with Soda, and I am pretty sure it was cooked quite long ago. Because the rice had completely turned dry and hard. 2. Indian Naan bread does not come that big (as shown in the pic). Its hardly the size of our palm. This bread was 100% Turkish. After having our lunch that day, both of us have been suffering from Food poisoning, Vomiting and Diarrhea. At the end of the day, Taste matters. And in my suggestion, this is no where even close to any of the Indian cuisine.

Good food but no cards

Greeted in perfumes of typical Indian cuisine, we ate much more than we could for an honest price. The waiter, whose abilities were exceedingly rare to find amongst colleagues in this profession, was professional, punctual and rather humorous to say the least. Do yourself a favor, and eat in the "house of India"!

One of the worst ever indian restaurant in Halle. Its wastage of money if you eat there. Some other ones comparatively better. They serve completely different dishes of low quality.

The food was the worst Indian food I ever ate outside India. We orders 2 vegetarian dishes both tastes very sour like someone put too much lemon inside. After requesting another we got exactly the same dish with the same sour flavour. The bread is good the waiter nice.
